Cuban Parliament delegation conducts extensive program in Vietnam

A delegation from the National Assembly of People's Power of Cuba (ANPP), headed by its vice president Ana Mari Machado, is conducting an extensive program of meetings with senior Vietnamese leaders. The Cuban deputies will be received by the vice president of the National Assembly of Vietnam, Tran Quang Phuong, and by Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khao. They will also hold a meeting with members of the Legislative Economic Commission. Mari Machado and her delegation arrived in Hanoi to participate in the Ninth World Conference of Young Parliamentarians, which was attended by more than 300 legislators from 75 countries.

Havana, september 12, 2023.- Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel on Monday attended a concert held at the Basilica of the San Francisco de Asis Convent on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the military coup in Chile, which took the life of Salvador Allende and thousands of other Chileans.

Brazilian President criticizes US blockade against Cuba

Brazilian President Luis Inácio Lula da Silva criticized the blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba, and stated that Cuba is not a country of terrorists. In an interview during his participation in the G20 Summit, the Brazilian head of State charged that Cuba has been subjected to a blockade by the United States for over 60 years, that is why the Cuban people cannot develop the way they would like.

He also called for the elimination of the campaign against Cuba that says it sponsors terrorists, which it is used to justify the blockade.

France and Cuba to boost parliamentary ties through visit

Dominican Foreign Minister arrives in Cuba on official visit

Havana, September 4, 2023.- Dominican Foreign Minister Roberto Alvarez arrived in Cuba on Monday for an official visit.

During his stay in Cuba, Alvarez will hold official talks with Interim Foreign Minister Josefina Vidal, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment Ricardo Cabrisas, and other Cuban officials.

This is Alvarez’s first visit to Cuba.

President of Namibia receives his Cuban counterpart

Windhoek, August 27, 2023.- The President of Namibia, Hage Geingob, received his Cuban counterpart, Miguel Díaz-Canel, at the State House in the capital of the country to hold official talks.

Díaz-Canel was awarded by Geingob with the “Order of the Most Ancient Welwitschia Mirabilis”, Namibia’s highest decoration, which Fidel Castro was also previously awarded with.
