China reaffirmed its support for Cuba in the defense of its national sovereignty and security following recent threats from US President Donald Trump. Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mao Ning underscored, responding to a question from Prensa Latina, her nation’s opposition to foreign interference in the affairs of the Caribbean island. “We once again urge the United States to end the blockade, sanctions, and all forms of coercive measures against Cuba, as this would benefit regional peace and stability.”

The Bolivarian Government of Venezuela, through Foreign Minister Yván Gil Pinto, issued an official statement this January 1st to commemorate the anniversary of the Cuban Revolution, reaffirming the unbreakable unity between both nations in the face of imperialist ambitions.
