Raúl and Díaz-Canel lead May Day celebrations in Havana

Havana, May 1, 2025.-  With the participation of Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, leader of the Cuban Revolution, and Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, the parade for International Workers' Day took place in the Plaza de la Revolución in this capital.

Cubans pay tribute to their National Hero Jose Marti

Cuban students will reenact the traditional March of the Torches on Monday to pay tribute to National Hero Jose Marti on his 170th birthday, on January 28. Members of the capital’s youth and student organizations will gather at the steps of the University of Havana to march to the Fragua Martiana (Museum of Marti’s Forge), where teenage Marti was imprisoned for his pro-independence ideas.
